This article examines how the efficiency of a solar photovoltaic (PV) panel is affected by the ambient temperature. You’ll learn how to predict the power output of a PV panel at different temperatures and examine some real-world engineering applications used to control the temperature of PV panels. The measurement range of the Ambient Temperature Sensor is between –30 °C and +80 °C. Connect the sensor to Sunny SensorBox for further processing of the ambient data. “Electrical equipment designed for use in the ambient temperature range between -25°C to +40°C shall require no ambient temperature marking. For equipment rated for a temperature range other than -25°C to +40°C, the marking shall specify the special range of ambient temperatures in degrees Celsius. By measuring a base temperature (such as ambient or case temperature), component temperature can be modelled, and this can then be used to avoid harmful thermal conditions.
